Outside the Lines, Too curated by Souris Hong, an inspired and inventive coloring book by creative masterminds (2015).
This sequel to Outside the Lines features many more line drawings waiting to be filled in by YOU (or yours). It features over 100 contributors, from illustrators to animators, sculptors to street artists. And the sheets are perforated so you can tear out your colored-in page and give it away or hang it up! I love that.
It’s billed as a coloring book for adults, but I think the beauty of it is that the crayon and colored-pencil clad of any age would enjoy this while being exposed to awesome contemporary artists and artwork.
Shantell Martin, “Rain.”
Dave Douglass, “Meanwhile This Page.”
Kathy Taslitz, “Let it Go.”

I was lucky enough to go to the book launch for Outside the Lines, Too, held at L.A.’s Museum of Contemporary Art over the weekend. Young and grown were having a blast!
And you might be lucky enough to win a copy! The publisher, Tarcher Perigree, is generously offering one copy of Outside the Lines, Too to one reader of This Picture Book Life. Refer to that Rafflecopter right down there.
This is so cool!
Oh, to have been a marker on the wall! This is awesome! And yes, I WANT this book. 😀
I love adult coloring books! There is something so relaxing about coloring an image.
Couldn’t agree more!
I love coloring books for older people! 🙂 I was going to buy this mandala coloring book the other day, but it almost made me dizzy. This looks like a much better fit. That man riding on top of that small bear is the best! Heehee!!
